There are still many mothers who keep secrets from their children. At one of my recent book signings there was a gentleman who said he asked his mother on her dying bed who was his father. Unfortunately she refused to share it with him and she took the answer only she could give to her son to her grave. This gentleman was bitter and unforgiving from my perspective. Of course he disagreed but he kept saying that his “grandfather” was his father. So, what do you think?

Healing can begin when one does an internal assessment. Why do most readers expect for you to provide the answers to the challenges they are dealing with? One of my readers said, “Shirley Ann you took me up in a hot air balloon and just left me there.” I told her it was done in passages and short story forms with me clearly stating more books would follow focusing on single subject matters. I politely reminded her that even though the book was written by me, about me, my intent was to become the GPS to get her to look inside and deal with her own issues. Do you rely on others to solve your problems or can you be honest and dig deep within to get your own answers?

Fathers are very key to the upbringing of their children. Whether the mother and father are still in a serious relationship or not the child should become their focus. Children don’t choose who becomes their parents, neither are they given the choice on what environment they grow up in. Most if not all families are dysfunctional in one way or another. Despite this dysfunction children can be reared with productive and healthy choices if parents take the time to explain the process. It is the parents responsibility to train up and teach their children. If anyone else partakes then that’s a bonus. Where are you in line in regards to raising your child or children?
